Editor's Note
The Spring 2000 SPA/AAP conference Pediatric Anesthesiology 2000 was a great success in Sanibel. Rita Agarwal provides a wonderful summary of the events of the meeting. Again committee members have provided excellent article reviews and we will continue to post these on the website. Two very important issues are highlighted in this issue of the Newsletter. The first is that of the upcoming elections. The terms of several members on the Board of Directors are expiring this October and there will be an election at the October meeting to fill these positions. Please review carefully the nominations submitted by the Nominating Committee. Your comments and votes count. Please plan to attend the October meeting and cast your ballot. The second is that of membership in the Publications Committee. This year, the two-year terms of a majority of the Committee members expire in October. Some of our current members will want to continue their active participation on the Committee while others will venture forth to other challenges. Therefore, we are looking for new volunteers who want to actively participate in the Publications Committee and can serve for the two-year term.
