Society for Pediatric Anesthesia's Committee on International Education and Service (SPACIES)

The Society for Pediatric Anesthesia's Committee on International Education and Service (SPACIES) is composed of like-minded pediatric anesthetists who are committed to the improvement of pediatric anesthesia delivery in Low-Middle Income Countries (LMICs). The committee seeks to achieve that goal through direct education, creation of educational materials and practice guidelines, facilitating educational opportunities, and supporting efforts of other groups with similar aims. The SPACIES is the arm of SPA that deals most closely with international pediatric anesthesia issues, and advocates within the SPA for support of projects that we believe will improve pediatric anesthesia delivery in LMICs.
